Postlerferguson is a London-based research and design consultancy helping private and public organizations develop robust solutions to complex problems through object and media-based strategies.

New uncertainties resulting from rapid technological change and the globalization of supply chains and communications are creating an environment in which assessing the long-term consequences of decisions is both crucial and complicated.

Postlerferguson provides the analytical skills to clarify and prioritize difficult problems and the creative tools to propose realizable solutions. We use design and aesthetics as tools for exploring difficult and contradictory problems, enhancing communication within interdisciplinary teams and fostering public enthusiasm and understanding. Both a design firm and a research organization, Postlerferguson combines the strengths of both to produce solutions that make the abstract concrete.

Our work falls into three broad categories which address the relationship between issues of material and culture:

Using design to understand and work with the relationship between technological changes and cultural practices.

2 Communication & Process
How aesthetic processes can be used as an effective tool for communicating complex ideas.

3 Computation & Production
Understanding the new material dimensions of computation resulting from new software-driven production technologies.
